Connect an AI Assistant

Use DevDesk's tools from ChatGPT or Claude by connecting them to this app's MCP server.

You'll paste this URL into your assistant's connector settings below. DevDesk's MCP server exposes small utilities (like JSON formatting and password generation) that any AI assistant can call.

ChatGPT — Connect

  1. 1Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors → Advanced and enable Developer mode (read the risk notice shown there).
  2. 2In the chat composer's + menu, turn on Developer mode.
  3. 3Click Add sources, then Connect more.
  4. 4Give the connector a name and paste the MCP URL above.
  5. 5Start a chat and ask ChatGPT to use DevDesk.

Claude — Connect

  1. 1Open Claude → Custom Connectors → Add.
  2. 2Give the connector a name and paste the MCP URL above.
  3. 3Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use DevDesk.

ChatGPT — Refresh after updates

  1. 1Open ChatGPT's app preferences and pick DevDesk under Enabled apps.
  2. 2Next to Information, click Refresh.
  3. 3If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  4. 4Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use DevDesk.

Claude — Refresh after updates

  1. 1Open the Connectors page and select the DevDesk connector.
  2. 2Refresh or update the connector's tools.
  3. 3If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  4. 4Ask Claude to use DevDesk.

A connected assistant caches the tool list, so after DevDesk ships changes you may need to refresh the connector to pick up the latest tools.
